About the event

Women in Tech and Cyber Hub (WiTCH) is happy to present an evening for  networking hosted by Runway East. This month, we will have a fireside  chat talking about the roles that make up the driving functions - sales,  marketing, operations and more.   Come along and meet like-minded  women in tech and cyber security. This is a night for everyone -  whether you have been working in the industry for ages, thinking about  joining the industry, or consider yourself tech/cyber adjacent, we want  to bring everyone together to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and  enjoy the support a group that genuinely cares.  WiTCH is a  not-for-profit whose primary goal is to get women (and those who  identify as women or non-binary) into tech and cyber security roles and  more importantly, help create cultures and ecosystems to support them  and keep them there.

Agenda

  • Welcome (6:00 PM - 6:30 PM) - Please join us upstairs at Runway East, where we will check you in and give you a name tag.
  • Fireside Chat (6:30 PM - 7:30 PM) - It's time for talks. Our special guest and I will discuss the driving  functions and the roles that go with them.  This talk is about the art  of the possible and breaking the barriers between technical and  non-technical roles.
  • Networking (7:30 PM - 8:30 PM) - Join us for drinks and nibbles as we put those new skills to use during  our networking hour. This is a great casual networking space to meet  with like-minded individuals.  Camille and Illyana will be on hand to  make introductions if needed.

Who should come to our events:

  • Cyber Security Professional
  • Developers, Engineers, Coders and anything remotely techie
  • Founders
  • Leaders in Start-Ups and Scale-Ups
  • Academics - Professors, Researchers and Students
  • Those who are tech adjacent, such as recruiters, marketing, creatives
  • Business Consultants
  • Men in any of the above who want to learn and support women. We welcome all and find that the best connections are often the most unexpected.
